Brother Dan sent me this one. It's interesting to ask:

• What effect will this have on the religious conservative coalition of conservative Catholics and fundamentalist Christians? (I've often wondered about how reliable the Mormon/fundie alliance, too, given the amount of smack the latter talk about the former.)

• What effect will this have on the growing split between Vatican + very conservative (though I don't think Vatican-recognized?) Mel Gibson-style Catholics on one hand and more progressive Catholics on the other?
